Rangers activate RHP Jon Gray after the expenses on it

The Texas Rangers activated the right -hander Jon Gray on Wednesday, who will seek to make his debut of the season after having undergone a straight wrist fractured in spring training.
In a corresponding decision, the Rangers designated the right -hander Luke Jackson for assignment.
Gray, 33, has made the 60 -day injured list after being struck by a return from Michael Toglia’s batch in Colorado in a Cactus League match on March 14, Ariz.
He made three starts on rehabilitation assignments with the affiliates of the Texas Minor League, making a combination of 8 2/3 sleeves with an MPM of 3.12. He started for Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday and gave a deserved race with two steps five sticks to the stick in 61 throws in 3 2/3 rounds.
Gray made trips to the list of injured people at each of his three seasons with the Rangers. It was limited to only 102 2/3 innings in 2024 due to two strains of the groin and a foot neuroma which required intersane surgery. Gray posted a 5-6 file with an MPM of 4.47 in 23 appearances (19 departures) last season.
Gray, during the last season of a $ 56 million contract over four years, is 74-70 with an MPM of 4.45 in 228 career games (223 departures) with the Colorado Rockies (2015-21) and the Rangers.
Jackson, 33, went 2-5 with nine stops, an MPM of 4.11, 19 balls on bullets and 24 sticks in the stick in 35-rounds over 39 relief appearances for Texas this season.
He has a 24-16 record with 28 stops and 4.23 ERA in 377 games (all in relief) with Texas (2015-16, 2025), Atlanta (2017-21, 2024) and San Francisco (2023-24).
