Arsenal seeks to sign an attacker this summer, but so far, their prosecution has not been as simple as they hoped. Consequently, a new name is now considered an option by sports director Andrea Berta.
In recent weeks, Arsenal has prioritized two players in their attempt to sign a new new number: Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokerres. The two are very popular with Berta and head coach Mikel Arteta, but despite the breakthroughs having been concluded for both, an agreement for one or the other is not about to be finished.
And that has led other players to be placed on the Arsenal radar, and one of them is now considered for a summer prosecution.
Arsenal Esweling Move for Liverpool Target Hugo Ekitike
As Bild reported, Arsenal plans a decision for the attacker of Eintracht Francfurt Hugo Ekitike. The 22 -year -old, who scored 22 goals all competitions last season, is an option for Berta due to the slow progression of agreements for SESKO and Gyoker.
At this point, Liverpool is favorites to sign Ekitike this summer, but Arsenal could seek to divert any decision if they decide that SESKO and Gyokeres are no longer worth considered their main objectives.
The problem that Arsenal can be confronted with is that Ekitike would be assessed by Frankfurt at 85 million pounds sterling, which would be more than they should pay for SESKO or Gyokerres. In this regard, it is unlikely that an agreement is a priority, but it is an option if the former PSG striker is considered to be better suited to Arteta.
For the moment, it remains to be seen how things take place with the search for attackers from Arsenal. Panic does not yet settle down, but there will be frustrations by the lack of progress that has been concluded in the transactions on which are worked.
