Lewis Capaldi applauds after feud rumors with Taylor Swift

Lewis Capaldi denies that there are tensions between him and Taylor Swift after speculation about tension emerged when they both appeared on The Graham Norton Show earlier this year.
Appearing on KIIS FM’s “Kyle and Jackie O Show” on Thursday, December 11, Capaldi, 29, set the record straight.
During the interview, co-host Jackie “O” Henderson, 50, referred to the saga of British talk shows. In October, Swift appeared on the show to promote her recently released album. The life of a showgirl while Capaldi performed his single “Something In The Heavens”.
Capaldi’s new EP was also about to be released, but when Norton asked the singer about it at the time, Capaldi responded, “Um, yeah, I was told I wasn’t allowed to talk about it.” »
After the episode aired, TikTok users speculated that Swift and her team had something to do with Capaldi not being “allowed” to talk about his music so as not to steal the spotlight from the “Opalite” pop star.
“I’m going to use one word here. It’s rubbish,” Capaldi said when addressing the rumor on the radio show. “I saw a TikTok about it. And it’s a woman saying, ‘Taylor did this and she’s mean,’ and this and that. And I’m like, ‘That’s completely made up.’

“Basically, my EP hadn’t been announced yet. So my label was like, ‘Don’t tell people before you move on,'” he explained. “Not like you can’t tell people.” It was like, “This hasn’t been announced yet, so don’t tell people.” » And then we continued Graham Norton And Graham said, “You have this new EP coming out.” And I was like, ‘Oh, I thought I wasn’t supposed to talk about this.’
Capaldi then explained how Swift innocently got involved in the ordeal by making a harmless comment.
“Then I think it was because Taylor asked, ‘Who said that?’ I think people thought, well… the TikTok I saw was a woman. A lady is speculating,” he said. “So I think she thought that was it [Swift] thought. But it was complete bullshit. I can swear to it. It was complete bullshit. »
During the interview, Capaldi also gave an update on his relationship with Justin Bieber after the pair hit it off at a party in Los Angeles before the “Lonely” singer “ghosted” him.
“Tapped me twice. Which is good. I’m fine with it,” Capaldi said, before joking, “I haven’t thought about it every day since.”
The “Someone You Loved” singer joked that he was “needy” when it came to his potential friendship with Bieber.
“I became anxiously attached to Justin Bieber,” he continued. “I would avoid everyone else. But for Justin, I was needy. I needed this. But yeah, I haven’t heard from him. I don’t know if he saw it. Look, if I’m Justin Bieber and I get a text from Lewis Capaldi, I double tap. I don’t respond.”
He concluded, “But we will always have this magical night together. We will always have this moment.”
