Dji reused the technology of detecting the obstacles of its drones for the robot emptiness

The DJI obstacle avoidance system could be just as useful on earth as in air. DJI, known for its domination on the drone market, has entered the world of intelligent house with a range of empty robots called Romo. Beyond its drones, cellars and action cameras, the Chinese company has previously extended to other categories of products, including portable power plants and electric bikes.
For those who wonder why Dji has settled on robots like his next company, it is logical to consider the “detection of omnidirectional obstacles of the company” found in his drones. The same system that helps DJI drones to avoid accidents when the capture of cinematographic sequences is easily translated into a vacuum of the robot which can sail in a house without running in the furniture. In addition to the detection of obstacles which can measure at millimeters, DJI has built its Romo models with two flexible cleaning arms, an extremely high suction of 25,000 PA and a basic station in which the void will dare to automatically and clean.
To make it more efficient, DJI wrapped in automatic learning algorithms that help Romo vacuum cleaners to determine the best route for cleaning. Intelligence on board can even detect if an area is particularly dirty and spend more time there. To make it less a nuisance, the Romo uses a noise reduction system during vacuum cleaner and you can control it free with vocal controls.

DJI offers the Romo in three models: the entry level Romo S which starts at around $ 650, the Romo of mid -range A with a transparent vacuum design which costs around $ 750 and the high -end Romo P which has both a vacuum and a transparent base station for at least $ 950. Dji first publishes Romo in China, but says that availability abroad is coming later this year. Although robot vacuum cleaners do not present as much security risk as drones, DJI is currently trying to understand how to avoid a ban in the United States when the National Defense Authorization Authority comes into force at the end of this year. Unless DJI is verified and erased by one of the US national security agencies at that time, new DJI drones would be prevented from being imported or sold in the United States.
