Aston Villa could try to sell two players this summer to balance their books.
They recently fought against PSR problems, and the expert in finance Dan Plumley suggested that they could seek to get rid of some of their first team players to improve the team this summer.
Emiliano Martinez was linked to a distance from the club, and Ollie Watkins would also be on the radar of the best clubs. In addition to that, Jacob Ramsey was linked to a potential distance from the club in search of regular playing time.
Aston Villa seeks to build a team capable of growing regularly for Europe and fighting for trophies. It will be interesting to see if they are ready to sell some of their main players in order to improve the side overall.
Aston Villa needs to balance the books
Plumley revealed on Aston Villa News: “So we saw them doing it before, and as I said, from the outside by watching suggests that it was they who had the largest question point of the figures that we could see against the Premier League PSR, then of course, UEFA also inflicted on a fine recently.
“In a way, it stands for reason, as we say, that you predict that they will have to get a few players out to bring players if they wish.
Emery must keep his best players

Martinez and Watkins have been exceptional for Aston Villa over the years, and losing them would seriously weaken the team. It remains to be seen if Unai Emery is ready to punish the departure of the two players this summer.
Ramsey could use a distance from the West Midlands Club. He needs to play more often, and his exit would also be recorded as a pure profit on books. It remains to be seen how the situation is developing.
