Caspar Lee was just a teenager when he started downloading videos on Youtube, never imagined that the path would lead to a million dollars.
The 31 -year -old man opened his trip to a new interview with The Times of LondonSharing how his passion project turned into a career that has changed his life.
Recalling started to make YouTube videos at 16, Lee shared that he did not consider a business. “I just thought it’s a cool thing and I want to try to build it as large as possible,” recalls Lee.
“When I was 18, I asked my parents if I could take a year of leave before going to university and make youtube full time. At that time, I had two or three thousand pounds on my bank account. ”
This jump of faith has borne fruit. While he continued to publish content and increased his fans base, Lee found himself in the right place at the right time.
“I had the chance to be part of [a] Group of youtubers in the right place at the right time, and the public and the figures have increased, “he said.
“I managed to interview Ed Sheeran, Kevin Hart [and] Dwayne Johnson. I transformed my YouTube channel into a talk show. I think nearly 10 million people saw the Ed Sheeran video – that’s when things really took off. “”
“At the age of 21, I had made my first million,” he revealed.
Although he has taken this financial stage early, Lee stayed on the ground and realized that earning “more money does not gradually make you happier”.
“Even if I quickly earned an extreme money, I didn’t know how long it would last.”
Aware of his financial future, Lee has approached money with caution.
Sharing that he “does not draw the expenses buzz”, Lee revealed by investing his money.
“I can’t really see a time when I’m going to stop working. You never know what will happen with policy or the world economy, so I hope to have a diverse investment portfolio that will make me continue,” he said.
“My venture capital fund was incredible. I have invested a lot of my personal money in this. ”
