Yograj Singh exhibits the plan of non-an avant of BCCI Select

The former India cricket player Yograj Singh has the gift of making daring and controversial statements. He is again under the spotlight for another daring comment.
Yograj Singh, who is also the father of the legend of India Yuvraj Singh, said that the BCCI selection committee had destroyed the career of seven cricket players after the victory of the ODI 2011 World Cup. He also declared that the selection committee also wanted to get rid of the then MS Dhoni captain.
2011 WC was the last for a number of pillars
Under the captain of Dhoni, India won the 2011 World Cup on a soil at home. It was a historic victory because India became the very first team to win the World Cup at home. The victory also ended India in 28 years for the World Cup. The tournament, however, also marked the end of a very successful era in Indian cricket.

The competition turned out to be the last World Cup for a number of pillars. Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh and several other greats from India quickly retired or lost their place in the Indian team. Only Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and R Ashwin continued to play in the next edition of the World Cup in 2015.

Yograj Singh Slams Ancient Selection Committee:
In a recent interview with Insideport, Yograj Singh criticized the former selection committee for rejecting the players after the 2011 World Cup. He also accused the selectors of destroying the career of a certain number of players.
“You (BCCI selectors) has just destroyed these boys without reason. Boys like Gautam Gambir, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Mohammed Kaif, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid. Yograj said.
We lost 5 series when Ms Dhoni was the captain – Yograj Singh
Yograj Singh also spoke of Dhoni and said that former selector Mohinder Amarnath also wanted to dismiss him. The selection committee wanted to withdraw Dhoni as a captain after India underwent bleaching in the tests of tests in England and Australia.
“We lost 5 series when MS Dhoni was the captain and he was told that he would be replaced by Mohinder Amarnath, but that’s not the way to do it,” said Yograj.
However, the selectors could not delete Dhoni because the latter had the support of the president of the BCCI time, N. Srinivasan. Dhoni then led a few more years before being replaced by Virat Kohli as captain in the three formats.
