Wyndham championship: title champion Aaron Rai in a head shot | News Golf

The reigning champion Aaron Rai was in a shot while the bad weather reduced the second round of the Wyndham championship.
The Englishman, who opened with a 63 under the age of seven at the Sedgefield Country Club in North Carolina, picked up six shots before Lightning forces players to leave the course.
He drags the American Cameron Young, who had reached 14 under the moment when the time intervened. American comrade Mac Meissner pulled a 63 under the age of seven and Sungjae IM from South Korea a 64 under 64 to lead in the clubhouse at 12 sous.
“For me, this is not necessarily this week. I have a goal. In mid-September, I would like to be in New York to play in this Ryder Cup team,” said Young. “If I can get there, I can do a lot of things over the next four weeks. So I’m trying to keep this in mind rather than the little things along the way.
“It’s not just about winning a tournament here would be small, but I think that for me, I look in the distance, I think I will help keep trying to trust what I do and strengthen trust along the way.”
Rai, who won his first PGA Tour title at this event a year ago, opened with three Birdies, adding another to the fifth and two others after the round before his turn on the 14th.
Young also took a quick start after an opening of 63 with five birdies on the first nine.
He will resume his round on Saturday morning from the edge of the 16th Green as he continues a third successive birdie after having advanced late.
The night leader Joel Dahmen, to continue a place in the top 70 of the Fedex Cup classification during the final event before the play-offs, mixed two birdies with as many Bogeys as he stayed on nine sous.
Gary Woodland is among the people on the edge of the play-offs and helped his cause with an albatrossess two on the fifth per-five. He pulled 64 to sit alongside Dahmen.
