WWE SmackDown is now three hours long and the launch of the new format was an entertaining event.
It seems that the blue brand lacked firepower and had to knock on NXT’s door to bring in Jordynne Grace and Trick Williams.

Now that Trick is officially part of the SmackDown brand, he has officially reunited with his fiancé Lash Legend. The couple has been together for several years and announced their engagement in 2025.
They’re not the only couple to be reunited after several years, since Chelsea Green’s husband Matt Cardona made his long-awaited return in what was considered a controversial move by many fans.
Cardona was formerly known as Zack Ryder and although he debuted under that name, it was later changed to Cardona to allow both members of the couple to now wrestle in WWE under their real names.
It looks like there could be some mixed tag team action on SmackDown in the coming months.
Aleister Black and Zelina Vega dominate the brand alongside Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano, but several other couples could now work with them.
What’s next for WWE SmackDown newcomers?
Chelsea Green had a rollercoaster night on SmackDown, she welcomed her husband but at the same time, she lost her United States Championship to Giulia.
It’s been a tough few weeks for Green, who has always faced tough decisions from Nick Aldis, but now she also has her husband by her side.
Although Williams and Cardona have yet to reunite with their respective on-screen partners, it is expected that they will be reunited at some point so that they may also have the option of working together again.
