Teyana Taylor opened up about how she juggled culinary school with filming One battle after another.
In a recent conversation with Oscar Isaac during Actor from Variety on Actors interview, the 34-year-old multi-miler revealed how she handled filming and her schoolwork as an aspiring chef.
“That’s actually what gives me some [minutes] just shut up and cook. It’s an art,” she began.
THE Golden Globe The candidate went on to say, “But when I signed up and realized I had business classes and all the other types of crap, I was like, ‘Oh, shit, baby.’ So now I’m heading to the premiere of One Battle After Another on my iPad to do my homework.”
“Culinary school and working with PTA really prepared me. I feel like I’m going to be a great director. It might sound weird, like, ‘All this while learning how to make a steak?'” she noted
In response, Isaac said: “I think you’re the coolest person I’ve ever met in my life. You’re so amazing – all the energy to do this.”
“It’s all about balance,” Taylor responded.
During a previous appearance at Jimmy Kimmel liveTHE Escape room The star shared a sneak peek of her virtual classes.
“I can do it online, which is actually harder because you don’t have your boss there to say, ‘No, fix it, fix it. It’s kind of like, ‘Figure it out,'” Taylor revealed, proudly adding that she’s a “straight student.”
