For fans of Ajay Devgn Drishyam Franchise, October 2 has always been an important date. From his recurring presence in the story to his learned link with the suspense of the film, this date seemed to be the perfect opportunity to reveal the teaser of ad Drishyam 3. However, while a teaser, which would have lasted 1 minute and 25 seconds, was ready, the revelation never took place.
Why didn’t the Hindi Teaser of Drishyam 3 arrive on October 2? Here is what we know!
A Mid-Day report suggests that the delay was not simply due to unfinished background music, as the producer Kumar Mangat Pathak suggests, but was linked to the creative agreements between the creators of the Hindi franchise and the original team behind the Malayalam films. The screenwriter-director Jeethu Joseph and producer Antony Perumbavoor, who supervise the franchise since his creation with Mohanlal, would have their say to the moment and the way in which Hindi adaptations publish content.
Meanwhile, on the Malayalam side, Drishyam 3 is already in motion. Mohanlal began filming the police drama on September 22, the official announcement that followed soon after. On the other hand, the adaptation in Hindi of Ajay Devgn, led by Abhishek Pathak, should not be broadcast until December. After Mohanlal’s update, the Hindi team quickly announced an release date for its version on October 2, 2026. According to initiates, this sudden revelation of the date did not please the Malayalam producers, encouraging them to apply the adaptation clause.
Adding another layer to friction is the choice of the director. Originally, the vision was to have the three versions – Malayalam, Hindi and Telugu (with Venkatesh) – produced by Jeethu Joseph, with a simultaneous world release scheduled for October 2, 2026. But with the resounding success of Abhishek Pathak’s film Drishyam2 (2022), producer Kumar Mangat would have pushed his son to make the trio by Hindi, thus breaking with the previous plan. It is believed that this decision has created creative differences, leading Antony and Jeethu to focus on the guarantee that the film Malayalam will be released on screens before its Hindi counterpart.
In the current state of things, while fans expect clarification, the two versions of Drishyam 3 Advance: one already turns the cameras, the other is preparing for production. It remains to be seen if the long -awaited story of Georgekutty and Vijay Salgaonkar will take place carefully coordinated, or if the public will know the conclusion in Malayalam before the Hindi.
