Why Bruce Springsteen felt sorry about Jeremy Allen White playing him in a biopic

Bruce Springsteen admitted to seeing Jeremy Allen White transform into him during Deliver me from nowhere was not easy.
The bear actor set to star in Springsteen biopic based on book Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska (1982).
During their appearance at The Graham Norton ShowTHE Dancing in the dark crooner, spoke about his involvement on set.
“I was on set a lot. I felt really guilty because not only did Jeremy have to play me, but he had to play me while I’m sitting there watching him,” he said.
He then praised the Golden Globe winner’s professionalism: “He was incredibly tolerant and generous towards me, for which I am grateful. I had a great time.”
White then admitted that initially he was “a little nervous”, explaining: “You’re trying to conjure up a little bit of illusion and imagination, and seeing the man you’re playing in the corner was difficult.”
However, after a few days it became routine and he got used to Springsteen’s presence on set.
Springsteen added: “He prepared in private, so I stayed away. On set, I rarely said anything, I just had fun.”
Besides White, Scott Cooper, Odessa Young, Stephen Graham, Jeremy Strong and Jon Landau also star in the film.
Springsteen: Deliver me from nowhere is scheduled to be released on October 24.
