A commentator has just sounded the alarm about the danger Fergie risks putting the Cabinet in, due to her need for financial stability.
Royal writer and journalist Jasmine Carey wrote her warning in an opinion piece for Express where she plunged into the ramifications.
In his eyes, “Sarah Ferguson could be on the verge of making her biggest mistake”, given that “for weeks, rumors have been circulating that the former duchess could be planning a big comeback after her big fall”.
For those unaware, this comes just as reports began to circulate that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor had been moved to an estate in Sandringham that was dubbed a “shoebox” for the former Duke who resided in a 30-bedroom mansion for years.
While Fergie is not ready to join him in this new house, which King Charles will finance from his private coffers, Ms Carey wrote: “And what do many famous people do to make money when all else fails? Write a book. However, I am certain that if Sarah did that, it would be her biggest mistake and would wreak more havoc on her life than anything that has happened before.”
After all, “just look at the problems caused by the publication of ‘Spare’ for Prince Harry?” she pointed out. “He might have liked her memoir, but certainly not his royal relatives. And the same would happen to Sarah. If she were to write a tell-all book, it would cause more harm than good.”
Before concluding, she also weighed the pros and cons before saying: “Yes, she could receive a huge salary in the mail, but at what cost? It is believed that the good relationships she left behind are rare, and writing a book could cause problems between Sarah and her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who are known to be very close-knit,” she also warned.
