“What if I established video surveillance in your home?”:

The recent Post LinkedIn of a recruiter sparked a debate on the approach of Gen Z at a distance work, highlighting the tension between flexibility and liability on the labor market today. The recruiter, identified as Anmol Phutela, noted in the post that many young candidates strongly prefer the work remotely – a request that employers meet more and more.

“And it’s completely fair – flexibility is the future of work,” wrote the recruiter. “But here is reality: while most really want to work, some are waiting for wages without responsibility.”

Sharing a real incident from a recent developer interview at Great Future Technology, the recruiter said that the candidate initially seemed to be well suited to this role. “The candidate seemed really excited – the discussions were smooth, the agreements aligned and we were ready to move forward with the documentation,” said the post.

However, the process struck a road dam when the recruiter informed the company’s plan candidate to install class teeth, productivity monitoring software. The tool, according to the post, monitors productivity, attendance and working hours, similar to office configurations.

“His answer? A flat refusal,” wrote the recruiter. “He wanted the role and the pay check, but not the responsibility that accompanies him.”

The recruiter concluded the position with a reminder: “Home work does not mean a work from anywhere without working. This means providing results with the same responsibility, the same property and productivity as if you were in the office. ”

She also stressed that “transparency and performance are not complementary modules – they are at the heart of work itself.”

The position has become viral in no time, internet users of the company’s investigators to install productivity monitoring software in the employee’s personal laptop.

“It’s not Gen Z Issue Mam … It’s your company that is the problem … BTW will you agree if the company wants to install CCTV in your home to follow your productivity ?? So why would you install software on its personal asset?

A second user commented: “No one with a work brain will allow you to install random shit on their property. Give him a corporate laptop, lol.”

“Productivity is measured by the tasks that employees perform, not by the hours they spend caressing the keys on a keyboard. He was absolutely right if he refused,” said a third user.

“Lol look at the audacity and the right of these people to think that they have the right to install a follow -up mechanism on the employee’s personal laptop. I checked to see if it is a sarcastic post (sic)”, a fourth user has weighed.
