Killing George Cooper Sr. (Lance Barber) in “The Big Bang Theory” is one of the greatest regrets of creator Chuck Lorre. The sitcom reveals that he died when Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) was a teenager – an idea that came to Lorre and Gang before even thinking of making a series of prequel to the education of the socially awkward physicist. However, “Young Sheldon” ultimately became one thing, and everyone went knowing that George’s death was more inevitable than Thanos. But while his controversial cheating scenario was redesigned, there was no return with regard to George’s fateful result, and viewers testified to a plot thread which they fear from the creation of the series.

Of course, George’s trip to “Young Sheldon” is not entirely depressing. The sitcom maintains the football coach drinking beer alive for seven seasons, allowing him to become an extensive character who is more attentive and adorable than the adult Sheldon remembers that he was on “The Big Bang Theory”. But the death of the Patriarch of the Cooper family is always really depressing and throws a dark cloud on a show which is generally very funny. In this spirit, it is time to grasp fabrics while we revisit George’s death on “Young Sheldon”.

George Cooper Sr. died of a heart attack in “Young Sheldon” season 7, episode 12, “a new house and a traditional Texas torture”, which was broadcast before the emotional final in two parts of the series. The heartbreaking moment occurs while he is at work, shortly after telling his family that he will see them later.

The last spin-off of the constantly increasing franchise tells the consequences of George’s death and shows his son, Georgie Cooper (Montana Jordan), trying to sail in life without him. His dead father finally appears to him in a dream sequence, which can be found in the episode of “Typhoid Georgia” of season 1, the couple having an emotional moment before George Sr. turns into a zombie, which means that his son wakes up.
That Barber’s cameo is up to the heritage of his character is for a debate, but it is nevertheless an entertaining scene. It remains to be seen if George Sr. will return his son again on “The first marriage of Georgie & Mandy”, but never says. Let’s just hope that their next meeting is less terrifying for the young man bereaved.
