West Ham United and Juventus would have been in contact for a potential exchange transfer agreement involving Nayef Aguerd and Daniele Rugani.
According to Gianluca di Marzio, there is a chance that Genard was leaving West Ham this summer, and Juventus is interested in the 29 -year -old man.
Meanwhile, the Hammers could also be eager to take Rugani as it is available, so it looks like a smart case that could be beneficial for all parties involved.
The two players were loaned last season, Aguerd spent the 2024/25 campaign in Real Sociedad, while Rugani was in Ajax.
Could West Ham and Juventus agree on the exchange?
Exchange offers are not really common in football, but it looks like the one that could be worth watching this summer.
It is surely logical that Genard is getting out of West Ham after a slightly disappointing spell in London Stadium.
The Moroccan international may well see that he is able to improve with a visit to Serie A, which is slightly less competitive and which is also known for a slower pace of the game.
Rugani could also be a decent replacement for Aguerd in the defense of Graham Potter while he is trying to make changes to the team that struggled so badly last season.
It was a disappointing campaign for West Ham because they started badly and dismissed Julen Lopetegui, before hiring Potter and not making much improvement.
West Ham ended up ending in 14th place and they are surely capable of better than that, but they will need a good transfer window to help them.
