West Ham United are keen to sign Wolverhampton wonderkid striker Jorgen Strand Larsen during the January transfer window.
It’s no secret that they need a quality striker, and the Norwegian could prove to be an excellent acquisition. He has shown his quality in the Premier League since joining Wolves, and he is also on Crystal Palace’s radar.
According to a report from the Telegraph, Wolves have turned down a £55million bid for the striker this summer, and he will be a costly acquisition. It will be interesting to see if West Ham can complete the deal. It’s no secret that they need a reliable finisher, and Strand Larsen could prove to be an upgrade over Niclas Fullkrug and Callum Wilson.
Wolves are favorites this season, and the player could consider jumping ship in January. The move to West Ham or Crystal Palace could be exciting for him. The Hammers are also fighting for survival, and signing a quality striker like him could help them stay on their feet.
On the other hand, Crystal Palace competes in European football and needs a stronger squad. They relied too much on Jean-Philippe Mateta. They need another quality striker, and the Wolves striker would be ideal. It will be interesting to see which of the two clubs can complete the deal. The striker is at the peak of his career and he could make an immediate impact. He is well established in the Premier League.
It remains to be seen whether the Wolves are ready to sanction his departure in January. They are favorites, and losing their best striker would only make things worse for them. However, a substantial offer might be hard to refuse. The player risks losing value after his relegation this summer.
