A 14 year old boy, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has engraved his name in cricket history books like the youngest Premier Indian League (IPL) Centurion, breaking a ton of 35 balls to Rajasthan Royals (RR) against Gujarat Titans (GT) On April 28, 2025. The sleeves challenged the chances when Suryavanshi took big bowling names to cleaners. The cricket arenas around the world have risen and applauded these masterful sleeves, recognizing the incredible achievement of the young cricket player.
Originally from the village of Tajpur in the district of Samastipur du Bihar, the meteoric rise of Vaibhav testifies to his talent and the immense sacrifices made by his family to feed his dreams of cricket.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi opens with the difficulties of his family
The road to the success of Vaibhav was built on the unshakable support of his parents. The fight early in the morning of his mother and the dedication of his father to his cricket development, all played a decisive role in his progress. He also said that all the credits for his success went to his parents and that hard work is still paying.
“Wherever I am only today because of my parents. My mother was sleeping for only 3 hours so that she could prepare food for me in the morning. My father left his work for me and my older brother manages him now. My father has always supported me saying that you will do it, you will do it. God looks at everything and ensures that those who work hard never miss. ” said Vaibhav in a video published by IPL on X.

- The youngest T20 Centurion: Suryavanshi has become the youngest player to score a century in the history of T20 cricket for men, exceeding Vijay Zho’s Record (18 years old, 118 days) established in 2013.

- The fastest century IPL by an Indian: Its ton of 35 balls broke Yusuf Pathan’s Record of a century of 37 balls for the Royals of Rajasthan in 2010, which makes it the fastest of an Indian in the history of IPL.
- Second century IPL the fastest in total: The century of Suryavanshi is the second faster in the history of the IPL, behind only Chris Gayle 30 tonnes in 2013.
- The youngest to mark a t20 fifty: He reached fifty-ball at 17 balls, Breaking Hassan Eisakhil Record (15 years, 360 days) for the youngest to mark a t20 fifty.
