Real Madrid to target PSG’s Vitinha if Vinicius Junior leaves

Real Madrid continue to meticulously plan for the future as negotiations over a new contract for Vinícius Júnior remain on hold, prompting the club to quietly prepare alternative scenarios in case negotiations fail to reach fruition.

Although there is no sense of panic at the Santiago Bernabéu, the club’s management are well aware of the need to be prepared for all eventualities when dealing with one of the most valuable players in world football.

In public and private, Vinícius has repeatedly expressed his joy at Real Madrid and his desire to continue his career in Madrid.

This message has been reinforced by those at the top of the club.

President Florentino Pérez appears fully committed to keeping the Brazilian superstar at the Bernabéu, seeing him as the cornerstone of Madrid’s long-term sporting project alongside Kylian Mbappe Jude Bellingham and the next generation of the Galácticos.

Real Madrid prioritize keeping Vinicius Junior

Madrid are prepared to make great financial efforts to secure their future and believe their importance on and off the pitch warrants elite-level mandates.

Only a complete breakdown in negotiations, which Madrid still considers unlikely, would force them to consider a sale.

And even in that scenario, any decision would be made entirely on Madrid’s terms, with a fee reflecting his status as the most decisive striker in world football.

According to Cadena SER, Real Madrid have already identified a contingency plan should the worst-case scenario materialize.

This plan would involve a pivot towards Vitinha, the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder admired by Madrid recruiters for several seasons.

Vitinha’s profile is considered an ideal candidate for Madrid’s evolving midfield structure. Technically gifted, pressure-resistant and tactically intelligent, the Portuguese international has become one of Paris Saint-Germain’s most reliable players.

His ability to dictate pace, progress the ball in tight spaces and operate in high-pressure matches has not gone unnoticed at Valdebebas, where recruitment staff view him as a player capable of elevating Madrid’s control in midfield for years to come.

It is important to note that Madrid’s interest in Vitinha does not suggest a departure for Vinícius.

Rather, it reflects the club’s long-standing philosophy when it comes to future planning for its squad.
