We haven’t really mastered it yet in ODIs: Mike Hesson
Before the start of the first ODI in Rawalpindi, Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson admitted that they have not been perfect but he is happy that they won the ODI series against South Africa. He was also happy with the team’s ability to perform in crucial moments, but admitted that there was still work to be done, especially in ODI cricket.
Mike Hesson was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz: “I think one-day cricket is something we haven’t really mastered over the last year. After the series wins in Australia and South Africa, we kind of fell short a bit. So we’re a bit more disciplined with the ball again. From a batting point of view, it’s about taking a bit more ownership. No, it’s very different in terms of T20 wickets. With the Cup of the world leading, we are happy to play on turning surfaces But in our bilateral ODIs, we will play on pitches which we think suit us So we are back in Rawalpindi you will see that the pitch today will obviously have a bit more pace and bounce.
