Virat Kohli on cusp of major List A record, all eyes on Vijay Hazare Trophy return for Delhi

Virat Kohli has 15,999 runs in List A so far and would become the second Indian to reach 16,000 runs.
It goes without saying that every time Virat Kohli steps on the field, he is bound to break a few records. Now, it is after 2010 that he will participate in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, and once again, he is on the cusp of a formidable record. The 37-year-old who would be turning out for Delhi against Andhra at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru currently has 15,999 LIST A runs in his career, just one run away from becoming the 2nd Indian to scale Mt.
Virat Kohli, 2nd Indian to reach 16 km
First on the list is of course Sachin Tendulkar, who has 21,999 runs to his name. If we dig deep into Virat Kohli’s records, in 342 matches, he has scored all these runs at an average of over 57. Surprisingly, the world record is held by England’s Graham Gooch; he has 22,211 carries in his exceptionally long career.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant will lead the Delhi team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, but it is still unclear how many matches the Indian stars will play in the domestic competition. After the Andhra match, Delhi will face Gujarat, Saurashtra, Odisha, Services, Railways and Haryana.
