The Pakistan dugout stood up and looked elated at the dismissal of young Indian opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who otherwise tormented the bowlers but failed several times against the Pakistan side.

Heading into the second match of the tournament, Pakistan skipper Farhan Yousaf won the toss and elected to bowl first in the rain-affected 49-over match. Ayush Mhatre, the skipper, opened the innings with the destructive Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

Pakistani pacer Mohammad Sayyam had the new ball and he drew first blood for Pakistan in the form of India’s most destructive hitter Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He fooled the southpaw with a delivery that slowed him down, and he failed to judge correctly.

The bowler himself jumped and made a fairly simple return, tossed the ball into the air and jumped up in celebration. His teammates immediately rushed to the bowler and celebrated the early removal of one of the stalwarts of the Indian U-19 batting order.

In their second match against Pakistan A, Suryavanshi single-handedly scored 45 runs off just 28 balls at the top of the order, while the rest of the team simply fell back without any significant contribution to the scoreboard.

India managed to score 136 runs in their innings, and Suryavanshi was the top scorer of the innings, followed by Naman Dhir with 35 runs.
