Playing only their second Asian Cup, the United Arab Emirates were packed for only 57 out of 13.1 Overs in their first match, while India reached its fastest T20i victory. Oman does not only manage marginally, rejected for 67 in 16.4 Overs while pursuing 161 against Pakistan – highlighting the Gulf between the associated sides and the heavyweights of the tournament.

“Really proud of boys – the way they played and aligned. Our team is much better than we have shown today, and I am convinced that we can do much better,” said Singh.
