Provo, Utah – His absence of his own audience left the courtroom with seats more empty than answers.

Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old accused, accused of having murdered Charlie Kirk, in a campus of the Utah college, earlier this month, returned to court on Monday, in a way. He attended the audience on a distant flow without video.

Robinson must return for another hearing on October 30, after his defense team, led by Kathy Nester, asked for more time to decide if they would force a proof audience in the case against their client.

Two new names added to his team were announced at the hearing, lawyers Michael N. Burt and Richard G. Novak, both from California.

Prosecutors said they started to submit discovery documents to La Défense. They raised a question on the wording of an order of gag on the case, which can involve more than 3,000 witnesses, and the defense asked court not only more time on the question of derogation, but also before deciding to request whether to ask for the deposit.

There was a void in the courtroom, however, where Robinson would have sat and the screen was connected to the prison speaker he called.

Judge Tony Graf, who oversees the procedure, asked Nester if she provided that Robinson attended a person next month.

“Yes, your honor,” she replied. “THANKS.”

It is unusual but not unknown for a defendant to appear at a distance without video, a number of local lawyers and other authorities told Fox News Digital.

The configuration request came from the defense, the court announced during the weekend. It was not immediately clear why, but the security problems were perhaps in everyone’s mind after the assassination of Kirk and a Sunday morning attack against a church of Jesus Christ of the Last Days of Michigan occurred in the 18 days of each other.

The security measures had been considerably strengthened before the hearing, who saw few spectators beyond two dozen journalists and a handful of other participants. K9S police swept the premises several times throughout the morning, and the court closed one of its two entries to divert all traffic through a single door. The judge temporarily prohibited the bags of the courthouse.

Sgt. Ray Ormond, spokesperson for the Utah County Sheriff, told Fox News Digital that nothing has happened to Robinson behind bars that would have encouraged him to attend an audience outside the camera, he remains in the prison special housing unit and he had not been involved in any incident with other detainees.

“There were other concerns,” he said, “in part because it was going to be a side hearing”.

The hearing took about 10 minutes in total and Robinson was not invited to plead.

Robinson’s defense team did not immediately answer questions about the process, and there was no need to be a file of Nester’s request in court documents.

Robinson was to attend in person until the announcement of the court on Saturday that he would not.

“The best person to answer this question is someone in the defense team,” said Christopher Ballard, General Lawyer and Information Manager at the County Prosecutor’s Office.

The parties and the judge could have agreed informally to the arrangement, according to Randolph Rice, a legal analyst based in Maryland who follows the case.

“Just a thought, I wonder if they are so worried about aminer the jury with additional images of him in this Smock of suicide that they avoid any unnecessary video of him in prison,” he told Fox News Digital.

Before the hearing start, a prison official said Robinson was present on the other side of a virgin screen. He was not at all visible during the hearing, that the court said that he would attend the County prison camera.

“And in prison, did we present Mr. Robinson?” Graf asked after the lawyers of both parties arose.
