President Donald Trump said he would not extend the deadline for Friday for his “reciprocal” prices over dozens of countries to restart.
“The first deadline in August is the first deadline in August – it is strong and will not be extended. A big day for America !!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social Wednesday morning.
Trump previously said that he would not extend the deadline on these prices, before doing exactly that.
In early April, Trump announced that the United States would impose a coverage rate of 10% almost worldwide, as well as higher individualized tasks up to 50% for dozens of countries.
After days of panic and confusion on the part of investors and world leaders, Trump took a higher price break for 90 days, which would have seen them restart on July 9.
Trump said that he did not intend to extend this deadline – but two days before his arrival, he signed an executive decree delaying the date of August 1.
