Former Vice President Kamala Harris avoided questions when asked during a recent interview, to the point where she was heckled by the reporter.

Harris traveled extensively to promote her tell-all book “107 Days,” detailing her short-lived campaign for president. Earlier this week, she faced a tense interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s Sarah Ferguson, who pressed her not only on her future political aspirations, but also on her record as former President Biden’s running mate.

Biden’s mental acuity and ability to serve were topics that put Biden and his allies in the spotlight, leading many to ask prominent Democrats why they had not spoken out. “Didn’t you also have a responsibility?” Ferguson asked about this. “You were one of the people in the room… Didn’t you have a responsibility as an American to step up and say something at that moment?”

“I didn’t question Joe Biden’s ability to be president at all,” Harris said firmly during the interview.

“Isn’t his refusal to recognize his own weaknesses the reason you were faced with a nearly impossible task? asked Ferguson.

Harris appeared to change the subject, responding that she ultimately ran against President Donald Trump, arguing that his agenda was to misrepresent his intentions to the American people.

“I want to interrupt you because this is a world-class pivot, but that’s not the question I asked you, which is about Joe Biden’s failure to recognize his own weaknesses and what that has done to you,” Ferguson said. “The question is about Joe Biden. Are you still reluctant to criticize the former president?”

“In what respect, please?” » Harris said, asking the reporter to be more specific.

Ferguson then asked whether Biden’s failure to recognize his own limitations put Harris in an impossible position during the election.

“He was not fragile as president of the United States,” Harris insisted.

“But he had weaknesses,” Ferguson retorted. “We all saw the debate.”

“I believe Joe Biden had the ability to be president of the United States and I never doubted that he had the ability to be president of the United States,” Harris said. “If you want to know whether he had the capacity to endure what a run for president of the United States would require in this political environment in 2024, as I said in the book, I had concerns.”

Ferguson continued to press Harris further, asking if she wasn’t willing to criticize Biden on camera as candidly as she did in her book.

“Of course not. I wouldn’t have written this book if I didn’t want to be frank about it,” Harris responded.
