President Donald Trump said on Monday that he “considerably” increased more in India, accusing the country of fueling the “Russian war machine” essentially.
“India is not only buying massive quantities of Russian oil, but they are then, for a large part of the oil purchased, selling it on the free market for large profits,” wrote Trump on Truth Social. “They do not care about the number of people in Ukraine killed by the Russian war machine. For this reason, I will considerably increase the price paid by India in the United States. Thank you for your attention to this case !!!”
Trump announced last week that the United States would impose 25% prices on imports from India. At the time, the president described India as a “friend” but condemned the country as having the most intense and unpleasant “non -monetary” trade barriers.

The president denounced how India and China are the greatest Russian energy buyers “at a time when everyone wants Russia to stop murder in Ukraine”.
“India will therefore pay a price of 25%, plus a penalty for the above, from August 1,” warned Trump last Wednesday.
Trump sharpened his tone for India on Thursday and retaliated with former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev for war warning with the United States.
“I don’t care what India does with Russia. They can remove their dead savings together, for everything I care,” Trump wrote on social networks. “We have done very little business with India, their prices are too high, among the highest in the world. Likewise, Russia and the United States do almost no deal. Beware thus, and let’s say to Medvedev, the former president of Russia, who thinks he is still president, to look at his words. He enters a very dangerous territory!”

Medvedev complained that Trump had shortened the Russian-fire-fire deadline from 50 days to only 10 to 12 days, claiming that “ultimatum” threatened war “not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country”. Trump had warned Medvedev to “monitor his words”, but the Russian official has doubled and referred to a nuclear device from the Soviet era.
In response, Trump said two nuclear submarines had been deployed “in the region” to counter Russia – a movement that the Kremlin tried to minimize as a “combat duty”.
The American special envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to visit Russia later this week before the deadline on Friday that Trump gave the Russian president Vladimir Putin to end the fighting in Ukraine.
Trump said last week that he had been informed that nearly 20,000 Russian soldiers died this month “in the ridiculous war with Ukraine”.

Russia and China, for their part, carry out their annual joint military sea exercises. The three days of exercises and other war games take place near the Russian port city of Vladivostok, through the sea of the west coast of Japan. Last year, joint exercises between the two countries took place off the coast of southern China in the southern China Sea.
