Tropical Storm Erin Forms, could become the first hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean this season

Tropical storm Erin Trained on Monday in the Ocean of the eastern Atlantic, the forecasters said. The storm could strengthen to become the first hurricane of the Atlantic of season.
The storm was formed just west of the Cabo Verde islands off the west coast of Africa, said the National Center for American Hurricane in Miami. Erin had to move to the west, but he was not immediately clear if this would constitute a threat to the United States
The National Weather Service predicted a higher season For the Atlantic Basin this year with an expected number of storms named between 13 and 18 years old, five to nine could become hurricanes.
A tropical cyclone becomes a tropical storm when its maximum sustained wind speeds reach at least 39 mph. Hurricane is more powerful with sustained winds of at least 74 MPH. Hurricane are assessed on a scale from category 1 to category 5, which is the most serious note. A storm is considered a major hurricane when it reaches the force of category 3 with sustained winds of at least 111 MPH.
