Tottenham closes on the names of name of stadiums to finance a wave of summer spending

Tottenham’s creeping transfer expenses this summer has rekindled speculation surrounding potential cash injection into the club, including the names of name long awaited for their 1 billion pound sterling stadium.

With more than 115 million sterling pounds already engaged in new signatures – provided they get an agreement for Morgan Gibbs -White above the line – Spurs are still looking to strengthen their team.

According to reports, Tottenham is actively continuing a lucrative agreement in matters of name for their stadium, more than six years since its opening.

Although it is not clear how close any agreement is, there is an increasing conviction that the funding will soon come to the club, whether through the owners of majority ENIC or external investors.

The Spurs recruitment campaign has already given the arrival of 55 million pounds from Kudus from West Ham.

The confidence remains high that an agreement of 60 million pounds sterling for Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest will soon be finalized, even if it faces delays in the allegations of an illegal approach.

Efforts to ensure a sponsor of denomination rights have long been on the agenda of the club. President Daniel Levy originally aimed at a package worth 25 million pounds sterling per year over 15 years – a total of 375 million pounds sterling, which would have established a global reference. Despite this ambitious objective, an appropriate partner has not yet been secure.

Whether this price requested has been lowered or a business has now intensified to meet, it remains unknown. However, there is optimism among the initiates that progress is finally in progress.

External observers suggest that the extent of the recent transfer activity implies that new investments – inside or outside – are imminent.

Financial realities were a key element in the Tottenham summer considerations. Their last financial statements have highlighted a net transfer debt of 279.3 million pounds sterling.

The club has also historically exploited the limited support of the owners.

Since the redemption of ENIC in 2001, they have injected 122.1 million pounds sterling, with an average of 5.3 million pounds sterling per year. In particular, 97.5 million pounds sterling of these came via a program program in May 2022, originally announced as potentially passing to 150 million pounds sterling.

For the context, 13 Premier League clubs have received more funding from owners than Spurs at that time, and the owners of Aston Villa have invested more than 600 million pounds sterling since 2018.

In January, ENIC provided 35 million pounds of additional funding sterling, but Levy remained firm in his financial approach.

Although the club has room to maneuver in the rules of profitability and sustainability of the Premier League, it clearly indicated that the expenses will be measured.
