The prolific Sixty and more was placed in better company last time after a monster climb from 48lb for four straight wins, and didn’t disgrace himself but should find this contest more to his liking.
2.05 Plumpton – Jorebel and Touquet clash again
Jorebel And Touquet face each other again today Chailey Classic & Vintage Tractor Club Handicap Chase in Plumpton.
The pair fought an intriguing battle at Lingfield last month with Jorebel I just got the better of the gelding Nick Gifford. Both men hit the ground running, seriously putting daylight between themselves and the rest of the field, with Chris Gordon’s charge closing in on the line.
Jorebel was upped six pounds for success and Touquet’s performance was not missed by the handicapper either, but he arrives here a pound better off at the weights in his bid to turn the tables on his old enemy.
Airy air seemed to be heading in the right direction last season, but hasn’t made the same impression either way this time around and needs to find his form if he is to threaten the principles.
