Tobey Maguire’s ex-wife, Jennifer Meyer, has broken her silence on their divorce.
During an appearance in the last episode of Interior Edit podcast, the 48-year-old jewelry designer said: “I actually think my divorce has been one of my biggest teachers.”
“It teaches you patience, and you also raise [kids together]. Our daughter was around 10 years old, so these are intense times where you have to stay connected,” she added, according to Us every week.
Revealing where their relationship currently stands, Jennifer said she and Tobey are still “close friends.”
“I now have an ex-husband who is my best friend and who would do anything for me, and I would do anything for him – anything in the world,” she said. “[He is] the best father, the best ex-husband, the best friend [and] the most generous.”
For those who don’t know, Jennifer split from Spiderman actor in October 2016 after nine years of marriage. The former couple share two children: Ruby, 19, and Otis, 15.
After finalizing her divorce from the actor in 2020, Jennifer got engaged to Geoffrey Ogunlesi.
During the interview, she revealed that her new fiancé and Tobey “love each other so much.”
“The sweetest part is that Tobey and my fiancé, Geoff, love each other so much. When the fires happened [in January]I thought Brentwood would be fine, so everyone was at my house,” Jennifer explained. “Tobey, at the time, was in West Hollywood because he was remodeling his house.”
“I thought, ‘I think we’re going to have to evacuate.’ And he said to me, “You better come here.” So me, my fiancé, our two kids, Tobey, we all went to Tobey’s [and] we all sleep there,” she added.
