Tarik Skubal made the history of the franchise in its last departure.

The AS of Detroit Tigers will seek to continue its case for a second consecutive price of the American League Cy Young when it will face the improvement of the White Sox in Chicago on Saturday afternoon at home.

Skubal, a left-hander, launched seven-sleeves aimlessly in a 5-0 victory against the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. It was his 11th departure this season in which he launched at least six rounds and gave no race, exceeding Denny Mclain (1969) for most of these departures in a season.

“It’s cool,” said Skubal. “I focus more on the victory and the implementation of my team to win. But each time your name is launched with this type of name in the history of the tigers, it is an honor.”

If Skubal (12-4, 2.18 ERA) reaches two withdrawal figures in the stick, he will match the Mickey Lolich club record of 11 games with 10 pawns in the stick or more in a season, established in 1971. He had only four stick withdrawals against the Royals but held them four strokes and two walks.

“The game does not concern everyone,” said Skubal. “Would I like to do this? Cent percent. But it is about making purposes, but you can get them. This team did not withdraw a ton, especially recently. I have the impression that last month, their sticks to the stick are down. No matter who presents itself and how good your belongings that day, you have to know the programming. … If these guys want to withdraw, according to this day.”

Surprisingly, Skubal did not face the White Sox from the last place (54-88) this season. He made 10 career starts against them, going 7-2 with an MPM of 4.24.

He will oppose another left-hander, Martin Perez (1-3, 2,16 ERA), who has launched well since his delivery of a tension of the left elbow. Perez returned last month – he had been absent since April – and only granted three points deserved in 21 2/3 rounds, extending over four outings.

He launched seven -sleeves aimlessly against Kansas City, abandoning a single blow on August 26. He followed this by holding the New York Yankees at two points in six rounds while recording seven sticks to the stick on Sunday.

He did not understand the decision in one or the other of the games-a 5-4 defeat against Kansas City and a 3-2 victory against New York.

“Martin was exceptional, really similar to each departure he had for us, where he has total control,” said Venable, manager of the White Sox, after the match against the Yankees. “Just another excellent job.”

Perez faced Detroit (81-61) – The central leader of the American League by a large margin – 17 times, including 15 departures, going 2-6 with an MPM of 4.73.

The White Sox are again at the bottom of the division, but they are no longer thrusts. They won their sixth consecutive match Friday in the opening of the series, 7-5, behind another great match of Colson Montgomery.

He rolled in four points, including a two -point circuit. The beginner field player now has 18 long balls in 51 games.

Chicago organized returns in each of the victories during its current sequence.

“We talked about it all year round with these guys who continue to fight and, obviously earlier in the year, without obtaining the results,” said Venable. “But that never stopped this group from continuing to go there and fighting, and it’s really nice to continue this competitive spirit and get good results.”
