Tigers agree to one-year contract with RHP Drew Anderson

The Detroit Tigers and right-hander Drew Anderson have agreed to a one-year contract worth $7 million with a $10 million club option for the 2027 season, the team announced Tuesday.
Anderson, 31, went 12-7 with a 2.25 ERA and 245 strikeouts in 30 starts last season with the KBO League’s SSG Landers.
He spent the last two seasons in South Korea after attending major league spring training with the Tigers as a non-roster invitee in 2024.
Anderson is 1-3 with a 6.50 ERA in 19 career games (two starts) with the Philadelphia Phillies (2017-19), Chicago White Sox (2020) and Texas Rangers (2021). He also pitched with Hiroshima in the Nippon Professional Baseball league for the 2022-23 campaigns.
