A Venezuelan national sought after for the attempted femicide in a Russian roulette style attack was arrested in Texas, Texas Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said on Monday.

Ice identified the suspect as being raul enrique pargas Rodriguez, 31, who was wanted on a Venezuelan mandate for having pretended to be tortured and tried to kill a woman in the deadly game.

“This dangerous criminal foreigner would have beaten, lowered and tortured a young woman in a twisted version of Russian roulette, then fled to the United States when his attempted murder was collapsed,” said Joshua Johnson, director of the Dallas field office, Dallas Dallas office, said Joshua Johnson. “Thanks to a council of the American border patrol, we were able to find it and take it safely in detention so that it could be repatriated to Venezuela to deal with justice for its alleged crimes.”

The mandate indicates that Pargas Rodriguez attracted the woman to his workshop on February 24, 2021, where he would have exploded in a violent tirade before insulting and attacking her.
