Texas mother remembers rushing towards the sons’ camp after surviving the floods

Keli Rabon, a mother of two sons who escaped in complete safety in a Texas camp, described the painful moment that she realized that the high waters of the region were “much more serious” than she initially thought it On “History”.

The mother shared that she was rushing from Houston to the Junta camp, where her two sons, aged 7 and 9, remained. Their flooded camp is located six miles from the Mystic camp, which is currently crying for the loss of 27 campers and advisers. At least 100 in total have died of floods, according to the authorities.
Rabon awarded the safe evacuation of his sons of the flood to the bravery of their camp advisers.

“While the water started to enter, its brave camp advisers, who are really only children themselves-college students-they encouraged the boys to put themselves on the first berth, then to climb on the second berth,” she said. “Then, before they know, they raised the little boys in the rafters to keep them out of danger.”
Rabon described his 7 -year -old child as being in a “shock“” Adding that he remembers the water high enough to break the window.
