Team India was ahead of England 14 days before the opening test in Leeds (June 20).
The entire Indian team left for England before the long -awaited five -game test series. The new captain and head coach of Shubman Gill and Gautam Gambhir attended a pre-series press conference on Thursday, June 5, after which the whole senior team met at Mumbai airport.
Initially, Team India was supposed to go in prizes for England. However, this is not the case, because the players, who are not part of the India team “A”, left together on Thursday evening. As for the India team “A”, which also includes seven members of the senior team, who are already in England. They will be joined by the rest of the team members and support staff on Friday, June 6.

Senior team from India to play 1 intra-squad match
Before the series of very important five game tests started in Headingley on June 20, the senior team will play an intra-squad match against India A. On June 13, the team led by Shubman Gill will go into action to prepare for the World Championship series of the World Test (WTC) 2025-27. It will be a warm -up training game in Beckenham.
Meanwhile, India “A”, which obtains a Boost Kl Rahul, will play its second four -day first class match against the Lions of England. The second unofficial test begins in Northampton from today. The first unofficial test ended with a draw, Karun Nair marking a double century.
