Miriam Margolyes on the update of health

Miriam Margolyes, beloved for his role as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter series, spoke of the difficult reality of his health and his limited time. The 84 -year -old actress recently shared in an interview with the Times she believes can only be “five or six years, if not before” to live.

“When you know that you haven’t had a long time to live – and I will probably die in the next five or six years, if not before – I hate leaving behind,” said Margolyes, quoted by The Mirror. “It is such joy. I aspire to play roles that do not limit me to wheelchairs, but I’m just not strong enough. ”

Her comments arise as she reflects on the retirement and the impact of her declining health. In 2023, during a podcast on the table in the way, Margolyes revealed that she had undergone heart procedure. “I have the heart of a cow now,” she said. “Well, not all my heart. I had an aortic valve replaced by an aortic valve of a cow.”

“I do not know how common is. I had never heard of this operation. But it saves you from undergoing open heart surgery, which would be infinitely more invasive,” she added.

Margolyes also discussed his evolutionary perspective on life and death in a conversation with British Vogue, saying: “When you are young, you never think about death. You just think of your next F – K, I think a lot about death.”

“You cannot help but know that the time to come is less than time before,” she said. “I’m still diving and diving. I am always open to new experiences. I am very aware that there is no light at the end of the tunnel. ”

One of her biggest concerns, she admitted, was financial security. “I don’t want to run out of money before dying,” she said.

In 2024, Margolyes confirmed that she had received a diagnosis of vertebral stenosis, a condition that seriously limited her mobility. “I am registered with disabilities. I use all kinds of help, ”she told Closer Magazine. “I have two sticks and a walker and they are such bore, but I just had a mobility scooter, which is very fun.”

Despite the challenges, Margolyes continues to kiss life with humor and resilience, showing the same honesty and the same warmth that made it a favorite at the same time and off screen.
