The Spinner Tamil Nadu and Gujarat Titans (GT), Sai Kishore, revealed how the skipper of National India Cricket Team Test, Shubman Gill, made him fight for four long years in domestic cricket.
Sai Kishore said Shubman Gill had found it very easy to play against him, and the striker made his life difficult, which forced him to change his bowling trajectory.

Sai Kishore was a key weapon by Captain Shubman Gill and picked up 32 counters for the IPL 2022 champions in three seasons.
Meanwhile, Kishore described Gill as a prodigy and remembered that he was disturbed by the dripper of the domestic cricket, which forced him to add new weapons to his arsenal.
“Shubman is a prodigy. I have known him since the age of 16. The first time we played him in less than 19 years, he scored 260 in Patiala. Later in the Ranji trophy, he obtained 270.
“Honestly, it took me four years to understand it. I even returned to my coach, Ram Kumar, and I said: there is this guy who broke me – what can I do? I had to change my trajectory and work on new things only because of Shubman. I told him this story too,” said Sai Kishore in Sportstar.

He took the post of captain like the fish in the water – Sai Kishore
Sai Kishore also declared that Gill had taken the post of captain like the fish in the water although he does not have much experience in leadership at the domestic level and hoped for a bright future for the Punjab Lad.
“He took the post of captain like Fish to Water. Remember, he had never even been captain of the Punjab because he was always with India. But when the Indian team needed a leader, Shubman intervened. I am very happy to see how naturally he is. I hope that in the years to come, he will become a clean leader,” said Sai Kishore.
Shubman Gill will then be seen in action in the Asian Cup
Gill won the series player’s prize for India at the Anderson-Tendulkar 2025 trophy against the National Cricket team of England, which was his first series as a test captain.
Gill finished as a run-detained leader in the five-game test series between India and England when he scored 754 points at an average of 75.40.
The 25-year-old was recently appointed vice-captain of the Indian team T20i, replacing Axar Patel in the role, and will then be seen in action in the Asian 2025 Cup.
Asia Cup 2025 will be played in the T20 format from September 9 to 28. India is the official host of the Asian Cup 2025, but for political and logistical reasons, the tournament will take place in the water. In total, eight teams will participate in the tournament, and the teams have been divided into two groups.
