Everyone seems to worry about the workload of Garrett Crochet as the calendar approaches in mid-September.

The left -handed from the Boston Red Sox stars is more worried about the results.

The hook seeks to bounce back from its most approximate release of the season when it takes the mound against athletics Monday evening in the opening of a series of three games in West Sacramento, California.

The hook (14-5, 2.67 ERA) served four circuits while being marked for seven points and nine strokes in six rounds against the Cleveland Guardians last Tuesday. He received a decision without a decision because the Boston offensive scored the last six races of the match for an 11-7 victory.

He marked the second time in five starts that the 26 -year -old hook has granted five or more points.

Naturally, any lower output leads to a conversation on its number of sleeves, now at 178 1/3. Last year, 146 with the White Sox in Chicago was its previous summit.

“I feel really good. Velocity, not that tells the whole story, but it says a lot. And it’s in a very good place,” said journalists’ hook. “… I really feel really good, taking care of my body between the two starts and doing everything I can to be ready to help this team in the section.”

Another factor for the observation of the hook is that earlier in his career, he underwent Tommy John surgery and missed the 2022 season.

Of course, keeping trace of the sleeves becomes more important with the intention of Boston to reach the playoffs.

Boston (79-65) is 3 1/2 games in third place in the US League East League and holds Joker’s second point.

The Red Sox interrupted a sequence of three consecutive defeats with the victory of Route 7-4 on Sunday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Closer to Aroldis Chapman had the rare round of four strokes while recording his 29th judgment, and he did not allow a blow for the 17th consecutive appearance, covering 14 2/3 heats and dating from July 26.

Nick Sogard struck a double with two strokes in a ninth round of three points.

Athletics (66-78) fell 4-3 in Los Angeles Angels on Sunday after scoring 27 points while winning the first two games in the Road series. Overall, the A has lost six of their last nine games.

Tyler Soderstrom went 2-in-3 with a circuit for his third multi-cut match of the month.

Soderstrom, 23, solidified as one of the constituent elements of the team for the future. It beats. 276 with 24 circuits and 86 products produced.

It is fourth in the team in the circuits behind Nick Kurtz (29), Shea Langeliers (29) and All-Star Brent Rooker (27).

“I had a fairly coherent year,” said Soderstrom to journalists on Sunday. “I’m just trying to continue doing what I do. Go there and finish hard but don’t try to force it. Go ahead, put good at-baskets together and continue to rely on what I’m doing.”

The manager of A Mark Kotsay was impressed by Soderstrom, a choice of first round in high school in 2020.

“It is a continuation of the way he performs all season,” Kotsay told journalists. “The state of mind to Tyler is that he was going to come here and take the next step forward, and he did it. He is an excellent sign. To he be the guy of the team who drives in races and strikes in the middle of the order, the progress was pleasant to look at.”

The promising right-hander Luis Morales (3-0, 1.59) will be on the mound for athletics.

The 22 -year -old only granted 17 strokes by scoring 30 stick withdrawals in 28 1/3 rounds. He made his debut in the major league on August 1.

Morales beat the Cardinals of Saint-Louis on September 1. He withdrew a career career record and granted two points and five strokes in 5 2/3 rounds.

The hook is 1-1 with an MPM of 1.35 in three career appearances (start) against athletics.
