“ The plumbers will open the product leaders ”: the alun IIM warns that these are no longer diplomas

If a plumber exceeds a product manager in five years, do not be shocked – an Aalums IIM has just explained why this future is closer than we think.
In a LinkedIn article, Lokesh Ahuja dismantled the prestigious myths surrounding the workforce of the white collars of India, arguing that creators – and specialists in skilled trades – are ready to eclipse traditional workers in income and influence.
“If a 23 -year -old IIM graduate made 41 crores of ₹, we called them a genius. But if a creator does so, we call them “cringing teeth”, wrote Ahuja, reacting to the back of a young influencer who would have established an empire of 41 crosses ₹ without diploma or pedigree.
For Ahuja, the explanation is simple: demand and supply. “There are more than 2 IIM graduates in India. But less than 10,000 creators have 1 m and more followers,” he said. Among these, perhaps 100 are high-their rarity feeds high gains. “If you are in this club, you will not win” fairly “. You will gain disproportionately, just like the founders of CXOS or startups. »»
He recalled that he saw a creator invoice 6 lakh for a 30 -second coil and land four in a single week – 24 Lakh ₹ without a single boss. “Content is not a scale that you mount. It is a rocket … if it takes away.”
But Ahuja’s insight is deeper than the economy of creators. He warned that AI triggers an excess offer of knowledge workers – editors, analysts, even coders – jobs formerly considered “safe”.
“And when the supply floods the system, the value drops,” he wrote.
This is why he thinks that the next change in pricing could promote those who do work, AI still cannot reproduce. “Plumbers. Carpentiers. Electricians. They are not flashy but they do what AI cannot (at least so far). And in a few years, they could have more price power than product managers. ”
His conclusion was clear and flawless: “This is not what you have studied. It is a question of whether the market still needs it.”
