The United 2024/25 campaign was defined by injuries as much as anything else, with Ruben Amorim, nor Erik Ten Hag before him, never able to call on a fit team.

Amad was the best player of United in the first part of the reign of Amorim, accumulating 11 goals and assists in 11 first League games from mid-November until mid-January, both in wings and in “ number ten ”. But an ankle injury in early February threatened to end his season prematurely.

De Ligt has tended to start matches whenever the season, although it remains to be seen what status he will have once all the central defenders will be available.
