A pair of panthers starting offensive line players, the Austin Corbett Center and the right -wing goalkeeper Robert Hunt, head for the injured reserve following injuries that eliminated them from Sunday’s defeat on Arizona.

Head coach Dave Canales said that hunting on Monday afternoon had suffered a torn left biceps and will require surgery before the panthers offer a medical assessment on the probability of his return during the 2025 season. Corbett was broken with another left knee injury and could be back at the end of October if its recovery progressed.

“We are still working on (corresponding movements),” said Canales.

Cade Mays finished the match of week 2 in the center and started eight of the last nine games in Carolina’s pivot last season, when Corbett was placed on IR with a broken biceps tendon.

Corbett, 30, reduced his MCL on Sunday. Canales said the last injury is a 3rd year sprain.

Corbett torn the ACL in his left knee in the last match of the 2022 season, and injured MCL left in 2023.

Hunt, 29, was a Bowler Pro player last season in his first campaign with Carolina.

Chandler Zavala replaced Hunt in the alignment on Sunday.
