The Pakistani ship arrives at the Indian port despite diplomatic tension

Karachi: The Pakistani bulk cargo “Sibi” arrived at the Indian port of Haldia on Tuesday, transporting China coal. According to sources, the ship has delivered 26,000 tonnes of coal to India.
The ship, owned by Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), transported China coal to India and accosted on Monday to the port of Haldia near Kolkata, in the middle of increased tensions between the two countries following the recent terrorist incident in Pahalgam.
Sources said the ship had been chartered by a Chinese company. When he was contacted, a spokesman for the PNSC said that the agreement of the charter party for Sibi had been concluded before the recent conflict, under a legally binding commercial arrangement.
He added that, within the framework of the Indo-Pak maritime protocol, the ships reported by one or the other country are authorized to call the ports of the other. The spokesman also stressed that the PNSC remains fully aligned with the policies and directives of the Pakistani government.
