The Naked pistol popcorn bucket directly refers to the best joke of the original film

The new popcorn buckets are in no way the savior “Hail Mary” to make people leave their houses and will see a film in theaters, but I appreciate the effort anyway. The buckets act as this bizarre memory of the cinematographic experience which often takes all kinds of forms, sizes and public services. While the theater channels had participated in the creation of these collation containers carefully designed before 2024, the infamous “Dune: the second part” Sandworm opened the valves so that the theater channels are just ranging. “DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE” did not waste time with its risky design of what you can do, uh, the mouth of the Marvel character. (Put the butter in it, of course, you sick.)

I know that some people moan and make fun of the fashionable concept behind these things, but I find them quite fun, especially if it is for a film that has no business. If you did not know that “the accountant 2” had received a bucket of popcorn from the Airstream motorhome from Ben Affleck, then now you do it. Post-Film uses of popcorn buckets generally land in three categories: collects memories (“Dungeons & Dragons”), a potential sex toy (you know it) or a risk of security. I remember having laughed in a loud voice design for “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Roirrim”, which was just a hammer that you could use as a weapon to disintegrate your friends on your head. Everyone is trying to make the next great viral sensation and although many of them come and go without trace, that of the next restart of Akiva Schaffer “Naked Gun” made me laugh for a certain number of reasons.

The Regal cinemas have revealed that the popcorn bucket for “The Naked Gun” will be a smiling beaver holding a log which says “Nice Beaver”. Lift the flap on your back and * boom * You eat this sweet pop corn. This is one of those cases where, if you have not seen the other films in this series, the joke of its existence can be slightly lost for you. But for those who to have Considering “The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad” from 1989, it is a hilarious reference to one of the best visual gags of this film.

Nice Beaver (popcorn bucket)!

I saw “The Naked Gun” more times that I could not count, to the point that many of its jokes are engaged in memory. Having to distinguish the best gags in a David Zucker, Jim Abrahams and Jerry Zucker Flick seems to be a Herculean task, but one of the most memorable bits is when Det. Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) meets Jane Spencer (Priscilla Presley) for the first time. The secretary goes up a scale, which encourages Frank to tell him “Nice Beaver” in a relaxed tone while seeming to look for his skirt. Jane responds rather hilarious with “Thank you, I just made it stuff it”, before transmitting a literal plush beaver to the awkward detective below.

Other buckets of popcorn have tried to push the limits of decency, but it allows innuendo to speak of itself. It laughed at me well this morning, and it’s not nothing. But now he makes me disturb my mind about the way it is linked in the new “naked pistol”. The only conclusion I can make is that the plush beaver of the film ’89 will somehow appear in the film as a gag centered on the inherited consequences venerating an object of past payments. I can already imagine Liam Neeson dusting him while looking through his father’s affairs as if it was Luke Skywalker’s Laser.

The marketing team of the new “Naked Gun” was on fire with its promotional equipment, with the OJ Simpsons joke selling me on the whole case. If this film succeeds, he could open a triumphant return of wacky comedies that again release in cinemas. They are so few because of most of them relegated to the streaming services these days, and it is a shame because the Coolidge corner recently showed an impression of 35 mm of “Jackass: The Movie” and I cannot tell you how much Catharsis came from a complete auditorium of people who laughs pure nonsense. “The Naked Gun” (2025) has the power to do the same.

The beaver popcorn bucket will unite the masses. Even better is once the film is finished, there is excellent use for this. Of course, you can eat it in the comfort of your own house, but in my eyes, the collection has an even more important potential for repertoire projections of one of the funniest comedies ever made: “hundreds of beavers”. If we get enough people to buy these beavers and bring them to a mass mass, the prophecy will be made.

“The Naked Gun” is expected to be released in the country’s rooms on August 1, 2025.
