The latest Qualcomm snapdragon chips offer slight switching on budget smartphones

Qualcomm has revealed its latest mobile platform for smartphones and more affordable devices called Snapdragon 7S Gen 4. Compared to its predecessor, new Snapdragon chips have improved overall performance, support for more detailed screens and feature that allows better video quality in low light situations.

We were able to test the Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 with smartphones such as Nothing 3A and 3a Pro, but this new generation chipset represents an improvement of seven percent with CPU Qualcomm Adreno and CPU Kryo. The Gen 4 specifications also present higher advanced processor speeds up to 2.7 GHz, compared to the 2.5 GHz of the previous generation. In addition to the overall performance boost, Qualcomm added the support of WFHD + screens which have a resolution of 2,900 x 1,300 and a cooling rate of 144 Hz. For better video in dark scenarios, Qualcomm infused the Snapdragon 7S Gen 4 with the low -light vision function, which was previously reserved for the more expensive chips.

Beyond these upgrades, Snapdragon 7 chips of the fourth generation maintain the capacity supplied by AI to take photos of 200 megapixels, rapid 4+ charging technology of Qualcomm which can recharge a device from zero to 50% in five minutes and the management of translation and transcription in real time with several languages. This is a minor upgrade of the Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 which was announced last August and Qualcomm has not announced any phone manufacturer which still plans to use this chip. However, we were able to see the last chip used by companies like Honor and Vivo, which previously used Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 models from Qualcomm.
