The labyrinth of the terrifying universal does something that the nights of Halloween horror have never done before

The most surprising surprise in the last decade of horror cinema has been the ascent of the “Terrifying” series. Of course, the scriptwriter / director Damien Leone, the shameless, and transgressive series of the Slasher series can have started as a gift for genre cinema fans, who immediately knew that there was something in progress with these films. But a look at the charts of the box office (not to mention the number of t-shirts, tattoos and other matching goods) confirms one thing: the cruel supernatural murderer that the clown officially crossed the dominant current. The only thing more shocking than watching these movies is to imagine ordinary people (and no, you know, strange horror monsters like you and me, dear reader) sitting to look at them.

And when a series of horror reaches a certain level of success, there is an inevitability: the Halloween event Horror Nights of Universal Studios will call. Anyone who has accused the long -standing event of the Halloween theme park – which celebrates its 34th year in 2025 – of becoming sweet by sometimes kissing lighter dishes and building haunted labyrinth experiences around films like “Beetlejuice” and “Ghostbusters” will eat its words when they experience the “terrifying” house at the Universal Orlando Resort. They can even quickly vomit these words.

It would have been an act of creative dishonesty for any lair embarking on the name “terrifying” to be nothing less than repugnant and morally corrosive. Halloween Horror Nights put back the task, then some. I cannot even describe most of the imagery and moments of this procedural procedure step by step without obtaining a severe warning from my boss, a red flag of Google and electronic listening on my phone from the police that ask me if I need to be on a sort of list. In fact, the photos included in this story are the only three that we were able to take during our entire visit to the house that we are allowed to show you while following our editorial directives for violent images. Seriously.

But all discussions on Gore and Goo come back: the labyrinth first provides a night of Halloween horror by letting the visitor choose one of the two ends, and one of them is … Well, it’s more than a little wet.

The labyrinth of the terrifying Halloween Horror Nights allows you to choose your own end

Water and mist spraying are nothing new in the attractions of haunted house. When I worked in a hant (much smaller, much cheaper) during the day, a small sponge and a bowl of water in a dark room with the right context would send participants fleeing a room, shouting at the top of their lungs. And although there are many opportunities to become a little humid throughout the “terrifying” labyrinth of Halloween Nights 34, it is the grand finale that asks you if you want to simulate the only way that any appropriate meeting with art could go.

Consider this as the most minor spoilers: at some point, you will be asked to choose a road in a forking path. One will send you back to the pleasant and dry park. The other will not. I will leave you, a person who probably knows one thing or two on the three “terrifying” films, to provide the additional context here.

The “Choose your own end” approach, combined with the “who is courageous enough to take the right turn instead of the left?” The challenge is a killer hook, and which creates immediate tension before even entering the attraction. Like Leone’s film themselves, part of the pleasure of these infinitely vicious films is the chatter of the playground, to borrow a sentence. Watching one of the “terrifying” films looks like a challenge because there is certainly not What you heard is true. It is only appropriate that the labyrinth of Halloween horror nights reproduces this zero tension.

Universal does not punch with a terrifying during Halloween evenings

Perhaps the most surprising thing about the “terrifying” labyrinth is that the Halloween Horror Nights team from Universal has designed something that is just as rude and relentless as the films, and filled all the corners of actors to bring art to the clown (so memorably interpreted by David Howard Thornton in this new context. We were told before entering the labyrinth that this attraction has more false corpses than any other labyrinth in the history of horror nights. When you leave, you will believe it not only, but realize that it is a feat that will be difficult to overcome. I consider myself a fan of experienced horror and an aficionado of the attraction of the haunted house experienced, but almost all the rooms of the “terrifying” labyrinth left my jaw on the ground with its growing depravity. Your eyeballs will need a thousand kitten videos to recover. Your nose may also need help (because yes, it is a haunted house that you can absolutely feel).

Some Halloween Horror Nights labyrinths may be accused of being summaries of “book report” of the film or the show on which they are based, summarizing the Beat by Beat intrigue. “Terrifying” wisely avoids the best HIT collection configuration, using familiar images to get you different in something that looks more like a film companion than a story. Even the hardest fan will find a lot to be surprised and shocked by, well before reaching the fork on the road and choosing to enter the art in the personal area of the clown theme. Whether you fall through the exit and in the dry night or a little soaked, one thing is certain: Universal has not fired here. He says “terrifying” on the tin, and there is no false advertisement here.
