Newcastle is on the market to attack players, and among their targets for the summer, Marcus Rashford by Man United.

In recent days, Newcastle has been reported that Newcastle could fail to sign Joao Pedro, who is their highest target to provide coverage on the front line. Eddie Howe is sought by a versatile attacker, which is why the option is that Rashford is the one that would appeal to the winners of the Carabao Cup.

According to the football initiate, the former scout of Man United Mick Brown confirmed that Newcastle wanted to sign Rashford on loan during the transfer window this summer.

“Newcastle has kept an eye on Rashford. It would be a good addition to the Eddie Howe team because it can play widely and in the middle, the two areas they seek to strengthen. They are ready to try their luck in Rashford, but they don’t want to pay money for this.

“I have no doubt that he is also interested, because he can play football in the Champions League.

“He must make a decision with his salary because this is what the problem is. A loan move to Newcastle, similar to that of Villa, would have paid a percentage of this. It is therefore something that works for them, but is not the best situation for United.”

Rashford, who has collected 11 goals and eight assists during the 2024-25 season, could be a good option for Newcastle, but it seems that they will only pass in their conditions. As such, Man United may have to resign to another year when he does not leave on a permanent basis.
