The Ibrox flop has just played his worst game for Rangers

Glasgow Rangers failed to return to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Dundee United.
The Light Blues, held to a 0-0 draw by Falkirk at Ibrox this weekend, had to come from behind twice to earn a point on their trip, on a night when they should have been aiming for three points.
Max Aarons was caught as he collected a loose ball first into the box deep in injury time to give Nedim Bajrami a chance to equalize from the spot in the 98th minute.
That came after their first goal was a superb long-range strike from Brentford loanee Jayden Meghoma, who scored his first goal for the club with a sweet left-footed finish.
Ultimately, Danny Rohl will be unhappy that his side only came out of the match with one point to show for their efforts after creating seven “big chances”, according to Sofascore, compared to the hosts’ two.
One of the players guilty of wasting one of these ‘big chances’ was Macedonian international Bojan Miovski, who is expected to be dropped by the German boss.
Why Rohl should abandon Miovski for Rangers
The left-footed striker had the chance to lead the Light Blues’ line once again in the Premiership against Dundee United, but he did not do enough on the pitch to suggest he deserved to keep his place.
Miovski, who was signed from Girona in the summer transfer window, missed out on the only ‘big chance’ that came his way, as he failed to beat Dave Richards.
To his credit, the Rangers striker was more involved than usual. Miovski completed 32 of his 33 passes on the night, despite averaging ten completions per game for the season, according to Sofascore, showing that he was trying to get involved and was reliable with his passing.
However, the 26-year-old is in the team to score goals, as the main number nine, and he has not been good enough in that regard for the Light Blues.
Following Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw against Dundee United, the former Aberdeen centre-forward has scored just one goal in 11 Scottish Premiership outings for the Ibrox giants.

As you can see in the chart above, Miovski hasn’t done enough this season to suggest he was a good addition to the team by former sporting director Kevin Thelwell, as he struggled in front of goal and physically on deck and in the air.
This is why Rohl should ruthlessly remove him from the starting XI for the trip to Kilmarnock on Saturday, as he was wasted again on Wednesday night and has yet to prove that he can be counted on week in, week out in a Rangers shirt.
While the goalless Miovski was disappointing again for the Light Blues, Emmanuel Fernandez was even worse than the Macedonian international with what was his worst performance for the Scottish giants since his permanent move from Peterborough United in the summer transfer window.
Where does this performance fit in Emmanuel Fernandez’s Rangers career?
The England centre-back has made seven appearances for the Light Blues since his transfer, and his performance against Dundee United was his worst outing for the club to date.
Fernandez, who was given a player rating of 3/10 by IbroxNews, was beaten far too easily in the channel for Zach Sapsford’s opening goal, who raced past the centre-back before racing to pass the ball past Jack Butland.
Heart & Hand content creator David Edgar described him as a “terrible” defense, which is hard to argue with, as he got sucked in on the halfway line and turned with ease.
In addition to this error, Fernandez has only won ten of his 18 duels and six of his 11 aerial duels. According to Sofascore, he has won 75% of his aerial battles in the league this season, making his success rate of 55% against Dundee United poor by his usual standards.
So he was even worse than Miovski, as the central defender was far from his best and was at fault for a goal, while the striker at least looked much better in his overall passing game, even if his finishing wasn’t good enough.
When you look at his other performances for the Light Blues, it’s hard to shake the fact that Wednesday night’s performance was his worst performance for the club.

He only played one minute off the bench against Hibernian, making it impossible to judge, and he scored goals against Alloa Athletic in the League Cup and Livingston in the Premiership.
Fernandez also won ten of his 12 duels against Falkirk and nine of his 12 duels against Braga, according to Sofascore, while Rangers conceded two goals in those matches, while he was not responsible for the goal conceded in the 1-1 draw against St Mirren under Russell Martin.
According to Sofascore, his aerial duel success rate of 55% against Dundee United was his lowest in a game for Rangers in all competitions, showing just how late he was that night, without even taking into account his mistake for the opening goal.
With John Souttar and Derek Cornelius injured, Rohl doesn’t have many alternatives in his position at the moment, so Fernandez could keep his place at the heart of the defense against Kilmarnock.
Rangers ‘Passenger’ Has Been So Bad It Makes Dowell Look Good
This Glasgow Rangers flop currently makes Kieran Dowell look like a good player in comparison.
If this is the case, the former Peterborough colossus will need to return to their usual dominance at the back, after a disappointing match against Dundee United.
