‘The Golden Bachelor’ closes the season with a heartfelt and dramatic finale

The Golden Bachelorthe derived series if The Bachelor is a reality television show in which an older man dates a group of older women to find love.

The show is not scripted and filmed like other dating shows, following the lives of real people.

Following the end of the first season where Gerry Tuner, 72, Theresa Nist of the same age fell in love and got married. However, their marriage ended in divorce a few months later.

In the second season, Mel Owens, a 66-year-old former NFL linebacker and lawyer, is expected to date one of 23 women and find love.

The show which began on September 24 ended on November 1, with Owens announcing who he had fallen in love with of the final two women.

The former NFL player had to choose between Peg Munson and Cindy Cullers in the finale, but one of the women made the choice for him when she decided to leave during their last dinner together.

Mel proposed to Peg, then the night before Peg met Mel’s sons, Cindy abruptly left the show during her last date with Mel.

“I just wasn’t ready to commit to a proposal,” Mel told Peg.

Peg admitted, “With Cindy leaving, there’s a bit of a problem. I’m nervous about what he’s looking for.”

Then they met on the beach of a small island, with a golden rose placed on a table between them.

There, they confessed their feelings to each other, with Mel proposing to her with a diamond ring in the finale. Although they are neither married nor engaged.
