The founding member of the Atlantic Starr, Wayne Lewis, died at 68

A founding member of the R&B Atlantic Starr Wayne Lewis group died at the age of 68.

The group, which originally had a program of nine members, announced the death of their original group companion via an article on Facebook.

Taking over from their official social media account on Friday, June 6, the group wrote: “It is with great sadness that we must publish the death of Wayne Lewis on June 5, 2025”.

“Please keep the family in your prayers and respect there [sic] Confidentiality #WayNewis #Restinpeace #Flyhigh Sunrise 04/13/1957 Sunset 6/5/2025 #Restinpeacewayne, “they added, concluding the legend with a few hashtags.

In particular, no cause of death has yet been revealed.

For the Uneversed, the late singer, who provided voices, played the keyboard, wrote tubes like Always And Secret amateurs During his stay in the group based in New York, and trained the group in 1976 with his two brothers, David and Jonathan Lewis.

David was a singer and guitarist, while Jonathan contributed as a keyboat and trombonist.

The late singer Wayne and his brother David are recognized for writing most songs in the group, including the group’s most recent album, Metamorphosisin 2017.
